Description
Although post-WWII produced, the M9 Combat Service Gas Mask is the direct successor to the M5 Assault Gas Mask utilized on D-Day and is virtually identical, except for the color (gray rather than black) and the exhalation valve on the front of the mask. The mask is in excellent condition and is an inexpensive alternative to the actual M5 Gas Mask which, when available, sells for upwards of $500 alone. The M9 mask comes with a WWII-vintage M7 Gas Mask Bag which is the same type seen being worn by U.S. assault troops in a recent movie about D-Day. The M7 bag also served as a flotation device due to its water-tight construction.
